Who we are

I am a long-time branch manager of other landscape companies here in Greenville, South Carolina. I successfully grew a profitable branch here in Greenville, of a company based somewhere else. None of them were born, nor managed here in Greenville. I have witnessed companies like this being purchased by debt-based private equity firms and the cultural shift from a customer driven culture, to a dollar driven culture. I have watched every one of them loose sales as they raise prices and cut services. They think this is the way to a great company, but I have a contrary opinion.

I think that the basis of a great company is 1) first be good at what you do. Provide a great quality service and then, 2) charge a reasonable price for that service. There is no reason make the customer pay for a bloated corporate structure that supports job titles that should not even exist And that don’t make financial sense. That bloated corporate structure keeps them far from the workers in the field that actually do the work.

I never want to be so far removed from them, by a bloated corporate structure, that I don’t know them by name or am not known to them by name.

I think a local presence, great workers, reasonable prices and great customer service will win every time and I am willing to bet my investment savings on it here - in the form of Nat Green Landscape.
